Celebrate Halloween where it began over 2,000 years ago in Ireland. Samhain (Sow-in) as it is called in Irish, and meaning ‘end of Summer’ is an ancient Celtic festival marking the end of the harvest and the start of Winter and the earth’s hibernation. The Celts believed that during Samhain the veil between the living and the spiritual world was at its thinnest so they would invite the spirits of their deceased ancestors.
This trip spanning 6 nights will start in Dublin where your time will be spent visiting famous landmark gaols, cemeteries and museums alongside sampling delicious local food and of course the Black Stuff! We then move on to Meath (the home of Halloween) where will visit Trim Castle, meet local food producers and savour the atmosphere of the Púca (Ghost) Halloween Festival.
